Basketball Cupcakes

 Enjoy these decorative basketball cupcakes made using Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ cake mix topped with Betty Crocker® frosting and icing--perfect dessert to treat a crowd.



Ingredients

  • 1
    box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
  • Red and yellow liquid food color
  • 1
    container Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting
  • Betty Crocker™ black decorating icing (from 4.25-oz tube)

Steps

Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans). Place paper baking cup in each of 24 regular-size muffin cups.

Make and bake cake mix as directed on box for 24 cupcakes. Cool in pans 10 minutes; remove from pans to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 30 minutes.

Stir red and yellow food colors into frosting to make orange; frost cupcakes. With black icing, pipe lines to look like a basketball. Store loosely covered.
